We have been super busy creating hype around this Ep, so we have spent a lot of time in meetings and on the internet with the blogging massive “Fake Blood” got to No.12 in the Hypem charts this week.

Glastonbury 2010, was amazing and very hot. We arrived on Friday evening to the festival and began our campaign of behaving like rock stars.

Highlights of the festival:
All the staff at the John Peel stage, LCD soundsystem, Candi Staton, Surprise Radiohead gig, The Drums, Julian Casablanca quote “you was HOT on stage” and of course the legend Stevie Wonders.

Oh yeah not to mention our stage performance was great, it feel really great being back on big stage and the gig was great fun.

We’ve been taking it easy since, but the month of August is full of gigs, music videos, free remix downloads, festivals and a few acoustic shows, so please keep on checking our updates.

Black Cherry is made up of the writing duo Megane Quashie and Guilhem Fraisse with very different musical background and influences. The two fused together a perfect blend of Electro, dance and rock to make the sound that they called “Black Cherry”.

Black Cherry has played many high profile shows like Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, V Festival, Connect Festival, Balaton Sounds, SXSW, CMJ and many more. The duo has also tour with the likes of Siousix Sioux, The Wombats, Iglu & Hartly and Akala.

Black Cherry continues to develop their sound and have been working on the first physical release with Colin Emmanuel (Beta Band) on 21st June through ISM Records. The long awaited EP will form a tribute to lost but not forgotten band member Rob Moore who passed away on 22nd Sept 2009.

As Megane’s continues to be a pioneer in front woman fashion and often lends her face to many fashion campaigns, it just proves that this band is coming back with a huge bang. Glastonbury welcomes back Black Cherry on the John Peel stage on Sunday 27th June at 12pm, don’t miss this show.
